- The objective of this website is to advance comprehensive HIV care, and to improve the health and quality of life for HIV-infected persons in the Chugoku-Shikoku region by providing up-to-date information regarding HIV infection.
- Information regarding medicine and medical care is constantly in a state of flux. In particular, information in the field of AIDS tends to change rapidly, so what was considered common knowledge yesterday has been superceded today. As such, we make the utmost effort to maintain the accuracy of the information posted here. - This website is operated as a nonprofit entity under the “Chugoku-Shikoku Regional-block AIDS Control Measures Promotion Program” subsidized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The Hiroshima Prefectural Government has contracted for funded research with Hiroshima University, and the staff of Hiroshima University Hospital is in charge of the actual operation.

"ACT-kun"
"ACT-kun" is the mascot of Chugoku-Shikoku Regional AIDS Center, which stands for "AIDS Care Team". The motif of the dove, a symbol of peace and hope, is intended to create an emotional connection among patients, medical professionals, and the general public.
Wearing a red ribbon, ACT-kun will cross the Seto Inland Sea, firmly uniting friends in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions with a strong bond.
Let's all join ACT-kun in being proactive about research, treatment, and care.
